Barrister Nazmul Huda

[Chairman of the Chambers] and Senior Advocate (Appellate Division) of the of Supreme Court was called to the Bar from Lincolns Inn, London, UK in the year 1969 and practices in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh with specialty in corporate and banking affairs. He is a former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association [1997] and twice former Minister in the Government and four times Member of Parliaments. He is a conducting lawyer and senior Advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He specialises in Constitutional matters, writes on national issues, Corporate laws, Public and Private international laws, Banking laws, Arbitration, ADR, Aviation laws, Company matters, mergers etc;

Advocate Sigma Huda

[Head of Chambers and Managing Partner of the firm] is a law graduate from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan [1969] and has over 42 years of law practice. She is actively engaged in all the courts of Bangladesh including Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. She was twice elected Member of the Bangladesh Bar Council and also held different posts in the Supreme Court Bar Association. She is also the former UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children and former Member of the National Labour Law Reform Committee. She was also a member of the Women National Development Council from 2001-2006 which is headed by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She specializes in Property laws, Fiscal laws, Banking laws, Corporate laws, Family laws, Intellectual properties, Constitutional laws, Arbitration, Income Tax and other revenue cases, litigation (both civil and criminal especially in the High Court Division and Appellate Division of the Supreme Court), Shipping and Aviation laws, International laws (both private and international treaties), Alternative dispute Resolution, Company matters and other related works such as processing foreign investments, work permits, necessary permissions etc;

Advocate A.N. Salamatullah

is Head of the District Court Division and the Courts of First Instance (both civil and criminal), though he is also a member of the High Court. He has over 22 years standing practice. He conducts both civil and criminal litigation and has over 6 lawyers working under him;

Advocate Verbeena Huda

is the in-house lawyer full time seated at the Chambers to respond to client's queries. She has her expertise in drafting, conveyance, rendering advice and on-spot opinions on urgent and different problems that may arise over interpretations of laws and legal terms disputes, breach of contractual obligations etc. She is also responsible for maintaining liaison with all the lawyers of the firm including the Firm's tax lawyers and clients, she meets the clients requiring consultations of different legal matters;

Advocate Md. Ashanur Rahman

LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., is a litigating lawyer practicing solely in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court. He is the Head of the Supreme Court Division of the Firm and has about 4 lawyers working under him. He is accountable to the Managing Partner for all Supreme Court matters. He is an expert on drafting pleadings including all sorts of petitions and applications, well conversant with the Supreme Court Rules (both High Court and Appellate Division Rules and Letters Patent of the High Court), looks after the criminal and civil matters. He prepares writs on constitutional and human rights matters or other laws which are challenged as being ultra vires the Constitution, administrative and service laws in the administrative Tribunals or in the High Court Division, public interest litigation, appeals and revisions etc;

Advocate Rehana Malek Shupti

LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., is also an in-house lawyer mainly responsible for litigating matters requiring High Court and Appellate Division interventions. She specialises in drafting pleadings, giving opinions mainly in corporate Banking and labour laws, researching and preparing briefs etc;

Advocate Shiuli Khanom

LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., is a litigating lawyer appearing both at District Court as well as the High Court Division. She acts under the instructions of both Advocate A.N. Salamatullah and Advocate Md. Ashanur Rahman. Though she specialises in family and labour law yet she is capable of handling other civil matters too;

Advocate Mohammad Anwarul Islam Chowdhury

LL.B., is a litigating lawyer appearing at District Court and in the Courts of First Instance. His actions are accountable to the Chambers through Advocate A.N Salamatullah who reports daily to the Head of Chambers;

M.A., LL.B., is a litigating lawyer of High Court Division, acts under the instructions of Advocate Md. Ashanur Rahman in the High Court Division; specialises in litigation, drafting and conveyance.
